My observations after 2 weeks here:
Maybe it's the influence of Islam, or maybe it's the higher standard of living, but this place is a mongering desert. Even if you can speak Russian.
The Russian ladies aren't as hot as those in Mother Russia, likewise most Kazakhs look vaguely similar to Thai ladies (except Kazakhs with Chinese heritage), but they don't wear heavy makeup. I suspect there's a cultural requirement to marry young, knock out some kids, and stay married.
