Okay so I guess it's all about perspective but I found the scene in Brisbane to be quite good.
So to put that in perspective I live in the US in a mid-sized city where we have about five AMPS, two of which opened recently. The service in these places is mostly a hand job at best from a 50 why / o and prices are $60/ HR room fee and an expected tip of $60 for just an he. Also FS providers are mostly unattractive / overweight or are skinny crack hoes who charge a small fortune for mediocre service.
For further perspective at the time of writing the US dollar was very strong against the Australian dollar (US $ 0. 65 to the A $) so that helps with value.
I spent approximately two months in Bris and had a great time there. There are a ton of MPs, just check out the Brisbane section of locanto or wander into just about any of them where you can't see into the lobby from the street. I had a 100% positive experience. Obviously YMMV and a measure of (greater than normal) caution should probably be exercised as Brisbane is going into an election cycle. I don't know how it is in Aus but in the US if there are local yokels (Mayors, Chief's of Police, etc.) up for election they tend to go after low-hanging fruit like this.
I don't want to go too deep into my experiences other than to say that I was very happy with the price and service available considering the other comments on this board and my hometown desert. Also, the experience in these places is pretty much the same all over, go in, pay the room fee, get naked, have a massage of varying quality, then flip and get the extras menu and then on with the fun.

AMP 1. South Brisbane near South Bank. Place was up some stairs off of a street-front (has a back entrance though). Provider was probably in her 30's, very good looking wearing a short dress. Initial thought was it was legit as she moved my hands away from her at the beginning but as the first half was winding down she allowed plenty of exploration. Ended up getting a body slide and BJ for a $200 tip (Room fee was $70). FS was not on offer.
AMP 2. This was on an inland island near Surfers; I would have repeated there but I was only on the Gold Coast for a week. This was $60/ HR room; the girl was gorgeous, in her 20's and very fit; looked Philipina but I didn't ask. On the flip she just asked if I wanted her naked and said that was $150; for that I got FIV, DATY, BBBJ, and COB finish. I am virtually certain I would have had FS as well if I'd brought a cover; hell she seemed like I could have gone in raw, which really made me re-think the DATY. Massage itself was weak which was the only downside.
AMP 3. In Carseldine near the train station. $70 room fee, older (probably 40's) Chinese lady, still attractive though. This time FS was on offer for $200 so I got a CBJ and covered FS in mish and doggie. Would probably have repeated here but it was a bit more out of my way.
AMP 4. Chermside walking distance from the mall. This didn't look promising at first as the lady who opened the door was older and not as attractive as the others (still do-able and head-and-shoulders above anything here) but it turned out she was just the mama-san and the women who came in was in her 30's and very attractive. FS was on offer for $300 which was a bit above my budget so I opted for a $150 body slide. This one also gave a fairly weak massage.
AMP 5. In the CBD near a happy clapper church (Imagine all the good little church men sneaking in there after praising the lord and passing the loot). Went to this place twice and it was definitely worth the repeat. First off it was by far the cleanest, most professional looking place I'd been in. I almost thought it was legit except that not too many legit massage therapists wear short skirts with g-strings. Also this place had a shower I could use after; that is such a nice touch especially in Brisbane in the summer! Prices were the same both times $75/ HR room, $150 for a body slide. This place also had the best massages; actual LMT quality deep tissue massages that I would have been happy with even if nothing else was on offer.
Visit 1. Hottest girl of the lot. She was probably in her 20's and had just a perfect body. Just the thought of the sight of her in her bra and panties will get me through many cold and lonely nights. Mmmm. She also had one of the most amazing asses of any girl, civ or provider, and absolutely the most amazing of any Asian girl I've ever experienced. She definitely does squats, lots of squats. This was also top two of body slides, the only one comparable is from visit two. She gave a great massage and managed to work in a fair bit of teasing throughout.
Visit 2. The only non-Asian of the trip. This girl was Russian, probably 30's and fairly attractive. Not much to add here, great massage and fantastic body slide.
All in all it was a great trip; spent a lot of money but I was basically packing a year's worth of mongering into six weeks.
